Do I need a referral for Workers Compensation and/or CTP physiotherapy?
While you don’t need a GP referral to see a physiotherapist privately, you’ll generally require a valid Workers Compensation claim and a Certificate of Capacity from your treating GP for your treatment to be covered by your insurer.
Will I have to pay for my physiotherapy?
For approved Workers Compensation and/or CTP claims, physiotherapy is generally funded by your insurer in accordance with the SIRA guidelines.
Can I choose my own physiotherapist?
Yes. You have the right to choose your treating physiotherapist, provided they are approved under SIRA guidelines.
How many physiotherapy sessions am I entitled to?
The number of sessions depends on your injury, recovery progress, and insurer approval. If ongoing treatment is clinically required, we will complete the necessary documentation to request further treatment.
How soon should I start physiotherapy after an injury?
Early assessment and treatment often lead to better recovery outcomes. We recommend booking an appointment as soon as practical after your injury and once you’ve commenced your insurance claim process.
